From the welcome dinner on the first evening — candlelit, perfumed with jasmine and rose, the sound of oud drifting across the courtyard — to the ceremony itself on a sunlit afternoon, Amina and Patrick's wedding moved at the pace of something truly felt. Nothing was rushed. Every moment had weight.

The Villa Taj provided an extraordinary backdrop: tiled archways, overflowing bougainvillea, the play of golden light on sand-coloured walls. I spent three days becoming invisible in those spaces so I could capture what was real.
